What information Fumenru handles, and what it is used for.

1. Information we collect
MATATABI, K.K. (the “Company”) collects the following information in order to provide Fumenru (the “Service”).

Apart from what you send in an enquiry, none of the above is collected in the parts of the Service that work without signing in (the sample scores and the blank score).
What we do not collect. We do not collect location, contacts, phone numbers or advertising identifiers. No analytics or advertising technology that tracks behaviour is built into the Service. We do not track users across other companies’ services.
2. How photographed scores are handled
Images of sheet music are used only to read the notes. Reading is performed by a recognition engine that the Company runs on its own servers; images are not passed to any outside provider for recognition.
- An image that is read successfully is deleted from the Company’s servers at that moment.
- An image that could not be read is kept for up to 30 days so that the cause can be investigated, and then deleted.
- Images are never saved onto your device.
- Neither the images nor the resulting scores are made public or shared with other users.
- The Company does not use the images for any purpose other than reading, including training models.
3. How we use the information
The information collected is used for the following purposes.
- Reading and playing back sheet music
- Storing the scores that were read, and showing them on the devices you sign in from
- Authenticating accounts and preventing impersonation
- Managing token balances and recording how tokens are spent and granted
- Investigating faults and improving quality
- Detecting and preventing improper use
- Answering enquiries
- Sending important announcements about the Service
It is not used for any other purpose. If a purpose is added, this policy will be revised and the change announced.
4. Disclosure to third parties, and processors
Except where the law requires it, we do not disclose personal information to third parties without the consent of the person concerned. We do not sell personal information.
To the extent necessary to provide the Service, processing is entrusted to the following provider. We have a contract in place with the processor and supervise its handling of the information.

5. Retention and deletion

6. Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself, from “Delete account” on the “Account” screen in the app. There is no need to write to us.
Deletion erases the account information, the score data you saved, and your token balance and its history. This cannot be undone. Scores kept on the device itself are not erased; they go when you delete the app.
If something prevents you from using the app, write to us through our Contact page.
You may also ask us to disclose, correct, add to, delete, stop using, or stop providing to third parties the personal information we hold about you. Please write to the same address.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
This website (https://fumenru.betapplab.com) does not use cookies. No analytics or advertising technology is built into it.
The app stores information on your device to keep you signed in. That information stays on the device and is erased when you sign out or delete your account.

9. Changes to this policy

Changes that materially affect users will be announced in the app or to your registered email address, in addition to being published on this page.
